Documentary by Matthieu Simon, 2019 On January 29, 1951, the 1st inhabitant of the block N17, located in the Perrey district, received the keys to his apartment brand new. Built according to a new prefabrication technique invented by the Raymond Camus Society and company, this building inaugurates the beginnings of heavy industrialization in the construction sector. Then swarming to throughout the world, this process developed au Havre recalls the pioneering character of the reconstruction site. 70 years later, the documentary filmmaker Matthieu Simon crosses documents archives with rare testimonies of Claude Pagenot, 1st worker hired by the contractor, and the architect Michel Camus, who worked alongside his Father. The specialist's insights of prefabrication Natalya Solopova complete this indispensable documentary to the understanding of the patented process by Raymond Camus and the personality of "the man with 320,000 dwellings".
